MY EDUCATION PHILOSOPHY
WHEN WE SEEK
TO DISCOVER
THE BEST TO OTHERS,
WE SOMEHOW BRING OUT
THE BEST IN OURSELVES!
WHEN WE SEEK
TO DISCOVER
THE BEST TO OTHERS,
WE SOMEHOW BRING OUT
THE BEST IN OURSELVES!
I believe that education is essential to the achievement of lifetime goals. Children who establish early reading and math skills are best qualified to complete their education and become fully empowered citizens. As a teacher I face the need to teach citizens that can function effectively in a society rooted in technology and information. I believe in student-centered classrooms, where students learn best by "doing", when they make connections with their past experiences, when learning is relevant and interesting. When I teach, I consider students’ readiness and their learning profiles.
As a math teacher, my approach to teaching is to make this subject meaningful, applicable and enjoyable for students. I will be guided by principles of differentiation such as high quality curriculum, flexible grouping, and on-going assessment and adjustment. Through a range of instructional and management strategies I will differentiate content, process, and product to meet the needs of my students.
One of my goals as a teacher is increasing parent engagement, because I believe in team work: teacher, parent and student. We all can make a difference in our children’s education! I see my classroom as a community of life-long learners, where core values must be experienced, not just taught. I have a purpose of caring for children so they will be prepare to care. I am proud to provide the equal educational opportunities to all our diverse students and create a safe positive learning environment in a multicultural classroom. I believe all students have the potential to succeed academically and expect a bright future.
Failure is not an option!
