Ideas
This trait deals with the heart of the piece of writing, because ideas are the concepts, thoughts, and insights that the author wishes to express
to the reader. When ideas are strong, the overall message is clear. I will help students to arrive at good content by raising the following questions: What is the topic? Is the topic narrow as a laser beam so that the writer can be specific with lots of good details? Is the topic interesting, and does the writer have knowledge about or experience with that topic to make the writing come alive?
